This option allows you to enable user data caching on your local computer for the Indeed AM ESSO Agent and Windows Logon apps. If this option was enabled for apps, you can log in by using the authenticator even if you do not have a physical network connection. In this case, cached user data will be used.

  1. Open your Admin Console and select the policy for which you would like to enable caching.
  2. Open the Applications tab and select the ESSO app or Windows Logon component for which you would like to enable data caching.

When data caching has been enabled for a single ESSO app, the caching settings will also apply for all ESSO apps covered by a given policy.

  3. Go to the page of a relevant application and click Data caching
  4. Click Yes against the option Allow caching of authentication data on the user’s PC.
  5. If necessary, you can also limit the lifetime of your cached data:
    1. You can use Start date and End date fields to set the expiration date for cached authenticators.
    2. You can use the Days since last online login field to set the validity period for your cached authenticators, starting from your last login to the system via an available Indeed AM server.

If your cached authenticators have expired and the Indeed servers are unavailable, the following error message will pop up during login: “Login error. The server was not found. User data caching has been disabled.

  6. Click Save.
