Indeed CM allows you to initialize added cards that are in the Clean state (not assigned to the user), including using the client agent.

- Select a card and click
to view its contents.
- Connect the card to the workstation and click Initialize. If the card is not available, select the Initialize card on agent option to create a task on the client agent.
- If the administrator PIN on the card matches the one stored in the system storage, click Initialize.
After initialization, the administrator PIN on the card and in the database will not change, and the user PIN will be reset to the value specified in the Card type sectiontypes section.
Scroll Pagebreak - If the administrator PIN on the card does not match the one stored in the system storage, enter it in the Extra section. Set a New user PIN if you want to set it during the initialization process, and then click Initialize.
After initialization, the administrator PIN in the system storage will be replaced with the specified value.
- If the administrator PIN on the card matches the one stored in the system storage, click Initialize.
